The annual club dinner dance will take place this Saturday 23rd February in St. Kent’s Fallowfield beginning at 8pm, 150 plus tickets have been sold so far, but if anyone would still like to buy a ticket please contact any member before 7pm this evening (Mon). Tickets are £25 each. The Junior Championship winners of 2012 will be presented with their medals on the night.
Lancashire Function for Tadhg Meehan
Thank you to all the St. Brendan’s members and the Lancashire clubs who attended the Point at the Lancashire Cricket Ground last Saturday for Tadhg Meehan’s function. The club would like to thank Kieron Gleeson, Sean Hopkins, Paul Tolan, Sean Hackett and the Lancashire CB for organising an excellent night.
Tadhg had a fantastic night with all his friends, former work colleagues and family present. He was presented with many gifts including a crafted Lancashire crest and a framed Galway Jersey signed by all the Galway Senior Football team including his nephew Michael Meehan. Special guests on the night included Brendie Brien from BPC and Aogan O Fearghail from Ulster PC. St. Brendan’s would like to thank Tadgh for his involvement with St. Brendan’s down the years, as he fulfilled many roles including Chairman and Secretary.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The club will be participating again in the St. Patrick’s Parade, which falls on 17th March this year and we will be looking for volunteers to help out in preparing a float for what should be a busy day in Manchester. More details on the festival can be found at www.manchesteririshfestival.co.uk

Niall Jackman is running a foundation coaching course on behalf of Lancashire CB on 24th Feb at St. Kent’s. We already have a few coaches attending but if any player or parent would like to attend please contact Jonny Plant.
The football training for both senior and junior lads commences this Wednesday 20th February at Broughton Park Rugby Club starting at 8pm. The first game is in a few weeks and the club are looking forward to the 2013 season.
The club would like to wish both Mark Rooney and Kieren Delaney all the very best who have returned back home in recent weeks.
